2024 Lok Sabha Elections: Antique Stock Broking, in its latest strategic note, says the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party is in a better position in 2024, with a view to its 2019 vote share and Based on an analysis of comparative voter turnout, he said he expected Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s party to deliver the following results: This will exceed the number of seats in 2019.

The brokerage said the incumbent party may improve its seat tally in 2019, but will fall short of poll predictions of the NDA winning 370-410 seats.

The fifth phase of the ongoing elections will be held on May 20 in 49 constituencies across six states and two union territories. The Lok Sabha elections concluded on June 1 and the results are expected on June 4.

“Key findings from our analysis include: The first-ever optional postal voting system for voters over 85 years of age and persons with disabilities led to upward turnout and seat losses for the Bharatiya Janata Party. “It could lead to a repeat of the 2004 trend of low voter turnout,” Antique said. “Such a belief is unwarranted because the voting base, especially low-income households, has expanded significantly.”

Antique Stock Brokers said that while biased elections are leading to low voter turnout, as seen recently in the Gujarat and Punjab assembly polls, previous analysis shows that the Bharatiya Janata Party is in favor. He said the results show that the company is in a favorable position.

Antique said that for the first time, the Electoral Commission will offer an optional postal voting facility to voters aged 85 and over (8.2 million people, or 0.8% of the total electorate) and voters with disabilities (0.9%, or 880,000 of the total electorate). Therefore, the final turnout data could be even higher, he said. cents of the total number of voters).

The report says, “This group is not included in current turnout data. Given the number of welfare programs that the current government has implemented for people with disabilities, the political leanings of this group are likely to favor the current ruling party.” There are signs that it’s going well.”
