2024 Lok Sabha Elections Live: The seventh and final phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 1. Today marks the last day of political parties’ campaigning before the conclusion of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the results of which will be declared on June 4. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on a two-day visit to West Bengal and is scheduled to address a poll rally in Diamond Harbour, a Trinamool Congress stronghold. Incumbent Member of Parliament and TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee is running from this constituency. PM Modi is also scheduled to hold a roadshow in Kolkata on Wednesday, two days before the constituency votes in the general elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address three rallies in Odisha today after concluding his visit to West Bengal. He is scheduled to address rallies in Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Kendrapada. It is to be noted that along with the final phase of the general elections, the Odisha Assembly elections will also conclude on June 1.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi held a joint rally with Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav on May 28 in Varanasi, which goes to polls on Saturday. Modi is running from the Varanasi constituency, and the Congress is fielding Ajay Rai as his candidate.
“I categorically state that Narendra Modi will not be the prime minister of the country after June 4,” Prime Minister Rahul Gandhi said in Varanasi on Tuesday. “The contest between the two is fierce and Ajay Rai may win this contest,” he said.
