2024 Lok Sabha Elections Live: The turnout for the sixth phase of the Indian Lok Sabha elections on Saturday was 61.20 percent, the lowest of all phases so far, according to data tallied by 11:45 p.m. Voter turnout in the fifth phase was slightly higher at 62.20 percent. The Election Commission said these figures were estimates and would be updated. Voting took place in 58 seats across eight states and union territories in the sixth phase on Saturday. In the 2019 general election, the turnout for the same phase (59 seats in seven states) was 64.4 percent.
In the final phase, West Bengal recorded the highest voter turnout at 79.47 percent, while Uttar Pradesh recorded the lowest at 54.03 percent.
Meanwhile, Bihar’s voter turnout was 55.24, Haryana’s 60.4, Jammu and Kashmir’s 54.3, Jharkhand’s 63.76, Delhi’s 57.67 and Odisha’s 69.56.
As of May 25, voting for the Indian Lok Sabha elections has concluded in six phases.
The next and final phase of voting is scheduled for June 1 in 57 constituencies in eight states and union territories.
