Uttar Pradesh, where voting is underway in 14 constituencies, recorded a voter turnout of 37.23 per cent by 1 pm. Polling began at 7 am and ended at 6 pm. Among the constituencies, Ambedkar Nagar recorded the highest voter turnout at 41.59 per cent, followed by Basti at 40.07 per cent, Sultanpur at 38.42 per cent, Azamgarh at 38.37 per cent, Lalganj at 38.12 per cent and Domariaganj at 37.64 per cent.

Eight constituencies in West Bengal’s Assembly, where elections for the sixth phase were held on Saturday, recorded a voter turnout of 54.80 per cent by 1 pm, officials said.
Polling began at 7 am in Tamluk, Kanti, Ghatal, Jhargram, Medinipur, Purulia, Bankura and Bishnupur constituencies. Bishnupur (SC) had the highest voter turnout of 58.64 percent, followed by Tamluk (57.64 percent), Ghatal (57.31 percent), Jhargram (ST) (56.95 percent), Bankura (54.21 percent), Kanti (51.66 percent), Medinipur (51.57 percent) and Purulia (50.34 percent).
