Voting for the fourth assembly seat in Uttar Pradesh’s 13 seats ended on Monday amid accusations of cheating by the Samajwadi Party (SP).
Voter turnout of around 58% was recorded in Daurala (63.19%), Kheri (63.07%), Sitapur (61.17%) and Kannauj (61%) where SP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav is a candidate, exceeding 60%. Voter turnout was recorded.
According to the Election Commission of India, the turnout in Akbarpur was 57.66%, Baraichi 57.45%, Etawah 56.38%, Farkabad 58.90%, Khardoi 57.51%, Kanpur 52.49%, Mislik 55.79%, Shah It was 53.24% in Jahanpur and 55.44% in Unnao.
“As soon as we arrived, the Bharatiya Janata Party miscreants fled,” said Yadav, who arrived in Kannauj following a complaint of cheating.
“The fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections has made it clear that all chances of the Bharatiya Janata Party forming a government in Delhi have disappeared. People are voting in favor of Samajwadi Party and Indian Bloc candidates.
