Georgia Tech made it to the final four with the signing of four-star offensive lineman Cortez Smith, but he is beginning to trend towards transferring to the in-state rival Yellow Jackets. Smith has already received two 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions to transfer to the Georgia Bulldogs, and today he received another prediction from 247Sports recruiting expert Tom Roy.
Smith visited Georgia Tech in June and also visited Georgia State and Miami this summer.
He is rated as a four-star prospect by the 247Sports Composite, the No. 133 prospect in the country, the No. 7 prospect by IOL and the No. 16 prospect in the state of Georgia.
Georgia Tech is still in the running to acquire several top offensive line prospects, including Smith and five-star offensive tackle Josh Petty, who is expected to commit to Florida State, but there is still time for Georgia Tech to land him.
Below are some stats and information on Smith from 247Sports analyst Gabe Brooks.
