Amaravati: Backed by a strong army of 4,500 social media volunteers, the ruling YSR Congress Party is leaving no stone unturned in disseminating information on state government welfare programs and fact-checking to counter misinformation. Messages are quickly sent out 24 hours a day.

The party led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is keen to retain power in the state and has performed well in the Sabah polls. In the southern states, parliamentary elections and parliamentary voting are scheduled to be held simultaneously on May 13th.

YSRCP’s social media in-charge Sajjala Bhargav Reddy ensured accurate information to all voters in the state while effectively thwarting the Opposition’s “malicious” campaign across mainstream media and social media platforms. The party’s mission is to reach the people of the United States.

In addition to the party’s official social media channels across multiple platforms, Bhargav said a wide range of individuals, from those with small followings to those with nearly 1 million followers, share information about the party’s initiatives and provide insight on current events. He emphasized that he was actively participating in rich analysis.

“We have a large network of people who work for the party on a voluntary basis. Starting at the district level, we have a social media committee and at the constituency level we have yet another social media committee. , down to the mandal level. All represent close to 4,500 functionaries who are active only on social media,” he said. P.T.I.

“Our goal is to reach every voter in the state, and we’re maintaining a primarily organic approach. Because our reach is so high, we have control over where it goes and where it gets to us. We cannot do that,” Bhargav further said.

YSRCP’s official account on the microblogging platform “X” has 8.86 million followers, and its YouTube page channel has more than 500,000 subscribers. His Instagram account has him 1.72 million followers and his Facebook page has a whopping 1.2 million fans.

Bhargav outlined that a significant portion of the YSRCP social media team’s efforts are devoted to fact-checking and presenting accurate information to counter the spread of misinformation by opposition parties.

He stressed that the party’s WhatsApp groups have spread from local villages to the international community and boast a total of more than 1 million active members. Their main objective is to ensure that Chief Minister Reddy’s message resonates around the world while skillfully highlighting the shortcomings of the Opposition.

Criticizing the Telugu Desam Party’s campaign on social media, the YSRCP leader said the Opposition’s approach in terms of messaging is completely negative.

He said the opposition parties were more focused on spreading misinformation and hurling insults at CM Jagan than on clarifying their party’s policies ahead of the upcoming May 13 assembly elections. He claimed that there was.

Mr. Jagan recently addressed a gathering of party social media activists in Visakhapatnam and explained the strategies to be followed in disseminating information.
