Monroe, Louisiana – Louisiana Tech built an 8-0 lead and defeated ULM 8-4 on Tuesday night at Lou St. Amant Field.
The Bulldogs scored in each of the first five innings to build the lead, while the Warhawks scored four runs in the final five to chip away at the lead.
Louisiana Tech (34-13 overall) got off to a fast start with Dalton Davis hitting a go-ahead home run in the top of the first inning. Will Safford hit a two-RBI double in the second inning, and Michael Ballard added a two-RBI single in the third inning for a 5-0 lead. In the fourth inning, Cole McConnell hit a solo home run, Grant Comeau grounded out for an RBI, and in the fifth inning, Davis had an RBI for an 8-0 lead.

Colby Lunsford Alzberger had two hits each for ULM. Davis and Safford each had two hits and two RBIs to lead Los Angeles Tech, while McConnell, Ethan Bates and Adarius Myers each had two hits.
Connor Nation (3-0) pitched the first two innings, giving up two hits, no runs, one walk, and two strikeouts, giving Los Angeles Tech the victory.
Brant Corey (2-2) ULM allowed four hits, three runs, and one strikeout in the loss. Parker Seay, Beau Blanchard, dalton hitt and aidan haynes Each pitched scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
