Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi P Krishnamurthy on Friday convened a high-level meeting with key stakeholders to discuss the expected heatwave situation on polling day.
The meeting aimed to ensure a seamless voting process and high turnout by caring for the comfort and safety of voters across the city.
The CEO called the meeting in response to the heatwave forecast by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Various concerned departments including Delhi Municipal Corporation, New Delhi Municipal Corporation, Delhi State Authority, Directorate General of Health Services, Delhi JAL Board, Women and Child Development Department attended the meeting.
CEO Krishnamurthy has directed these representatives to take appropriate measures at all polling stations to ensure that no voter experiences discomfort due to the expected heat wave during voting. did.

Provisions were also made to provide pick-and-drop facilities to voters with disabilities and the elderly to encourage their participation in the electoral process.
