ATLANTA — Delta Air Lines has announced its Team USA aircraft as the countdown to Paris 2024 continues.
The company unveiled a custom Airbus A350 on Thursday in Toulouse, France. The plane landed in Atlanta on Friday.
“The announcement of Team USA aircraft for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games is a great opportunity for Delta Air Lines to support Team USA as competition begins in just a few months,” Chief Marketing Officer Alicia Tillman said in a news release. It’s a big milestone.”
Tillman said the plane was designed by an in-house creative team. The airline held a celebration earlier this year with the Delta Air Lines Chairman’s Club in Toulouse, where the plane was built and painted.
The Chairman’s Club is a prestigious group of the airline’s top 100 employees. The aircraft’s colors are red, white, and blue, with “Team USA” written on the side.
“As this plane flies around the world in the coming months and years, we hope it will be seen as a symbol of the hard work, dedication and upward mobility that Team USA and Delta inherently share.” added Tillman.
Delta Air Lines has an eight-year partnership with the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee through the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic and Paralympic Games.
