Maj. Gen. Clay Hutmacher joins Reach Government Advisory Council

Maj. Gen. Clayton M. Hutmacher (retired) has a distinguished military career spanning more than 40 years. As an Army Special Operations Airman, he commanded at all levels during his three tours with the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment. His leadership experience includes positions as Regimental Commander, Commander, U.S. Army Special Operations Air Command, and Director of Operations, U.S. Special Operations Command, Tampa, Florida. After retiring in 2018, Maj. Gen. Hutmacher became president and CEO of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
A native of Wenatchee, Washington, Rear Admiral Hutmacher earned a bachelor’s degree in aerospace management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval Command and Staff College, and a master’s degree in strategic studies. He graduated from the United States Military War College.
