Reacting to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark that Congress and BRS have ‘rented’ Hyderabad to AIMIM, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen leader Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday claimed that people of Hyderabad are not livestock. and added that they are citizens, not the property of political parties.
Prime Minister Modi on Wednesday trained his guns on the Congress and BRS, claiming that they have been giving Hyderabad on a ‘lease’ to AIMIM for years.
“Prime Minister Modi visited Telangana and said that the Hyderabad seat was given to Owaisi on lease. People of Hyderabad are not livestock. We are the people and not the property of any political party. For 40 years, Hyderabad We have defeated the evil ideology of Hindutva.” And inshallah, Hindutva will be defeated again,” Owaisi posted on X.
He also shifted his focus to campaign finance. Criticizing Prime Minister Modi, Owaisi said, “Mr Modi is linked to people who donated Rs 600 billion to the party through electoral bonds. In return, he leased and sold assets in India to his sponsors.”
“Prime Minister Modi has appeased them so much that now 21 people collectively have more wealth than 70 billion Indians. These 21 people are his real compatriots,” he added. (Ani)
