The Enquirer mailed winter winners’ certificates to the athletic department by April 5. The next round is scheduled to take place in late May to early June.
The Beacon Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Athlete of the Week poll takes place during the entire high school season and recognizes athletes from all sports. Here are this week’s winners.

Ohio State Baseball Team: McNicholas – The Rockets beat the Rams for the first time since 2016, defeating No. 1 Badin 4-3 on May 2.
Ohio State Softball Team: Kings – The Knights shut out Anderson 10-0, Loveland 6-0 and Turpin twice, 1-0 and 3-0, to finish the regular season 20-3.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana Baseball Team: Beechwood – The Tigers defeated Louisville St. Xavier 7-6, Bishop Brossard 1-0 and St. Henry 5-0 for their fifth straight win.
Northern Kentucky/Indiana Softball Team: Holy Cross – Holy Cross went 4-0 in the Bulldog Bash, outscoring opponents 44-6 to win the division.
Boys Spring Team: La Salle Volleyball – The Lancers finished the season as winners in four of five games, defeating Walnut Hills in four games and Lakota West in five games.
Girls Spring Team: Edgewood Lacrosse – Edgewood outpointed Alter, Dixie Heights and Northmont to extend its winning streak to five games.
Big school baseball in Ohio: Braden Wisecarver, Northwest – Had seven hits and five RBIs in three games against Mariemont, Mount Healthy and Withrow.
Ohio State Small Baseball: Caleb Driessen, Badin – The sophomore, who pitched on his birthday, pitched six innings, allowing one run and striking out seven in a win over Centerville.
