4 people shot at Southland Park business, 2 dead

Several people were shot, two of them fatally, at a Southland Park store early Saturday morning, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. Around 5 a.m., officers from the Third Division were dispatched to the 200 block of Evangeline Street after receiving a report of a shooting inside. business. The store is called “The Hot Spot” and is located in the Southland Park area, about a mile east of Iroquois Park, LMPD said. When they got there, they found a man shot to death. Another man and woman were found shot but alive. The two surviving victims were taken to University Hospital. A short time later, a fourth victim, a man, showed up at University Hospital with a gunshot wound from the incident. One man later died at the hospital from his gunshot wounds, and the other person is in stable condition. The woman is listed in critical condition. LMPD’s Homicide Division is investigating. One of the men later died at a hospital from his gunshot wounds, while the other was in stable condition.

The woman is said to be in critical condition.

LMPD’s Homicide Division is investigating.
