President Joe Biden on Saturday called President Donald Trump “obviously unstable” and claimed that “something snapped” within the former president after his loss in the 2020 election.
“When he lost in 2020, it’s clear that something snapped inside him,” Biden told supporters at a private fundraiser in Seattle on Saturday, according to reporters present. ” he said. “Not only is he obsessed with losing in 2020, he’s clearly unfazed. Listen to what he’s telling people.”
Biden said he believes the Republican presidential nomination is “unswayable,” but believes the November election is “close.”
“I feel good about the state of the race, but I know it’s close,” Biden said, citing recent polls.
According to a CNN poll conducted by SSRS last month, Trump still has an advantage over Biden. Mr. Trump’s approval rating in the poll of registered voters remained steady at 49% in a head-to-head matchup with Mr. Biden, the same as CNN’s last national poll of the race in January, but Mr. was 43%, not significantly different from January. 45%.
While Mr. Trump has spent much of the past few weeks in a Manhattan courtroom amid a hush-money trial, Mr. Biden has maintained a robust schedule of policy speeches and campaign events, including many to embarrass the former president. finding a way.
