Ramgarh: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday asserted that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir will be “annexed to India” if the Bharatiya Janata Party wins more than 400 seats in the Indian Parliament polls.

“If the Bharatiya Janata Party wins more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, PoK will be merged with India. More than 400 seats are required to build and implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).In 2019, when the number of seats exceeded 300, the Ram Temple was built in Ayodhya and the 370th seat of Jammu and Kashmir was established. We ensured the abrogation of the Article and implemented the CAA,” Sarma said.
“Like Assam, infiltrators from Bangladesh are changing the demographic composition of Jharkhand, while JMM and Congress are indulging in appeasement policies,” he alleged.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday referred to the protests in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and said, “PoK is part of India and we accept this.”

Mr. Shah said that the current Lok Sabha elections were caused by “a corrupt leadership of the INDI alliance and an honest man who never had a single paisa suspicion against him even though he was the Chief Minister of the state at the time”. “The choice is between Narendra Modi and Narendra Modi,” he said.
“Bengal has to decide whether it wants infiltrators for refugees or CAA. Bengal has to decide whether it wants to vote for jihad or Vikas,” he said.
Shah accused West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of opposing the CAA and “holding rallies in support of infiltrators” to appease her vote bank.
