Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir would be “annexed to India” if the Bharatiya Janata Party wins more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha.

Addressing a rally in Jharkhand, he said his party would build the ‘Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi Temple’ and ‘Gyanvapi Temple’ and implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

“If the Bharatiya Janata Party wins more than 400 seats in the Lok Sabha polls, PoK will be merged with India. More than 400 seats are required to build and implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).In 2019, when the number of seats exceeded 300, the Ram Temple was built in Ayodhya and the 370th seat of Jammu and Kashmir was established. We ensured the abrogation of the Article and implemented the CAA,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

Pakistan’s paramilitary Rangers opened fire on PoK residents on Monday who were protesting demanding lower electricity taxes, cuts in subsidies, and the abolition of perks and privileges given to the prime minister and president.
