A short video clip featuring Pakistan’s former prime minister Imran Khan with gray hair and looking noticeably older than usual has gained attention on social media.
The short video shows Khan, 71, sitting in a chair with two others. In the video, Khan looks unrecognizable without his usual signature black hair.
The clip, shared by an X user named Incognito on Wednesday, went viral on the platform, garnering over 1.6 million reshares and over 97,000 likes.
The caption accompanying the clip reads: “Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan without makeup or hair dye.”
Many users of the platform formerly known as Twitter have commented on Mr Khan’s unusual appearance.
One user expressed surprise and questioned whether the person in the video was really the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader. “Seriously, is this Imran Khan?” he wrote.
Another user took a more realistic tone, sarcastically asking what people expected the 71-year-old to look like. “Do you think a 71-year-old man looks like a Calvin Klein model?” one commenter quipped.
Meanwhile, another user dismissed the clip as fake and AI-generated. “AI-generated videos, stop fooling people,” she insisted.

On Thursday, Khan appeared via video link in the country’s Supreme Court in a case regarding amendments to anti-corruption laws. However, leaked images of the 71-year-old founder of Pakistan’s Tehreek-e-Insaf party show him attending court with dark hair, contrary to his appearance in the video that went viral online.
Khan has been fighting dozens of cases registered against him. Thursday’s appearance was made in connection with a lawsuit he filed against amendments to Pakistan’s anti-corruption laws. The Supreme Court this week ordered the government to ensure Khan’s presence via video link, granting his request to be represented without a lawyer.
Pakistan’s former prime minister, who was ousted from power in 2022, was granted bail on Wednesday in a land corruption case. However, he will remain in prison because he was convicted in four cases and his sentence was suspended in two cases.

Despite the conviction, Mr. Khan remains widely popular in Pakistan. He has said the incident is part of an effort by his political opponents and the powerful military to alienate him and prevent him from returning to power, a claim both sides deny.
