Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde’s luggage was inspected by Election Commission officials at Panchavati in Nashik on Thursday.
Earlier, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut had claimed that Shinde had brought bags containing cash to Nashik by helicopter, but the claim was fabricated by Shinde’s Shiv Sena. Ta. Raut posted a video on X that shows Shinde getting off the helicopter and several people surrounding him carrying large items.
In an interaction with the media, Raut said if they claim to have the support of the people, why do they need money to woo voters, adding, “We have to ask the authorities to inspect our helicopters.” “We have time to do so, but no action is being taken against these people,” he added. .
Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Sirsat refuted Raut’s claim that the bag contained clothes. When leaders go on such expeditions, they say they bring bags full of clothes. Raut imagines, he added.
Fifth phase voting in 13 assembly seats in Maharashtra
Voting for the fifth phase of Lok Sabha polls was held on Monday, May 20 in 13 constituencies in Maharashtra, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, actor and politician Bhushan Patil , public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam has been named as a likely candidate.
