Colin Labecchi (EF Education Cannondale) came out of the final corner of the downtown Charleston, West Virginia course like a rocket, passing solo breakaway rider Elizabeth Dixon (Faunt Cycling) just before the finish line. He won his 74th U.S. title.
“We had to be a little bit patient. She was right in front of us so we could see her the whole time,” Labecchi said. “I think a little bit of luck worked in my favor. I got out of the last corner right away because she was still leading and winning.”
