BHUBANESWAR: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accused the Congress of “orchestrating support” of Pakistani leaders to gain an electoral advantage, saying the opposition often harms the national interest when dealing with Pakistan.

In an exclusive interview with P.T.I. Here, the Prime Minister also slammed the Congress for statements by its leaders questioning the surgical strikes carried out by the Indian Air Force in Balakot in response to the 2019 terror attack in Pulwama.

In response to a question about Pakistani leaders commenting on the Indian elections, Prime Minister Modi said, “Pakistani politicians are entering the Indian election debate by supporting the Nationalist Congress Party’s ‘Shehzada.” Ta.

Former Pakistani minister Chaudhary Fawad Hussain shared a video of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on social media and praised him.

“Perhaps the Nationalist Congress Party thinks that coordinating such support will serve them well. That’s how disconnected they are from reality. Moreover, Pakistan’s It is also clear why such people think that the Congress is good for them.The Congress has often respected our national interests and will suffer in the war against Pakistan,” the prime minister said.

PM Modi also listed statements by a Congress leader who said Pakistani terrorists were not responsible for killing Indian soldiers and another Congress leader who called on India to show respect to nuclear-armed Pakistan.

The country’s prime minister is still seeking evidence of a surgical strike five years later. Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar had said in an old interview that India should respect Pakistan, which has nuclear weapons that could be used against India.

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy questioned the Indian Air Force’s surgical strike on Balakot after the Pulwama attack in February 2019, saying no one knows whether something like this happened.
