Simone Biles looks ready for the 2024 Paris Olympics. gymnastics GOAT Earned highest overall score at US Classic He was the top scorer in the floor exercise, which began with Taylor Swift’s “…Ready For It?” Biles will likely join Team Her USA, but who else could join her?
At the U.S. Classic in Connecticut on Saturday, the 27-year-old Biles earned a score of 59.500, the highest score on both vault and floor exercise. She had a two point lead over her next closest rival, Series Jones, who had the top score on bars.
The US Classic is the pinnacle of Olympic qualifying events. The highest scorers from this competition will advance to the U.S. National Championships, which will be held from May 30th to June 2nd in Fort Worth, Texas. USA Gymnastics Olympic Trials begin on June 27th, ahead of the Summer Games, which begin on July 26th.
Jones, 21, won the silver medal at the U.S. Classic, while Jordan Chiles, who competed with Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics, won the bronze medal.
Suni Lee and Jade Carey, both members of Team USA 2020, also won medals in their individual events on Saturday, with Carey finishing fourth overall.

All of these women, along with Kaliyah Lincoln, who won a medal in their event, and Skye Blakely, who placed fifth overall, will compete at the national championships and are candidates for Team USA.
Former Olympic gold medalist Gabby Douglas returned to competition eight years after the 2016 Rio Games. Not only did she compete in Rio, but she also became the first black woman to win the Olympic individual all-around title at the 2012 London Olympics.
However, Douglas had a poor start on the uneven bars and decided to withdraw from other events during the U.S. Classic.
Biles appears to be an Olympic candidate, but his other four teammates and two alternates have not yet been decided.
During the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Biles developed “twisties,” a disorienting condition while flying through the air on a vaulting horse, causing him to withdraw from several events. She announced she would be taking a break from events to focus on her mental health.
“I was really happy to be back on the field,” Biles said of his return to the sport. “I got over that nerve again and felt the adrenaline.” “I can’t complain about how my first game back went.”
During vault practice, she hit Yurchenko’s double pike. She is also known as “Biles II” because she was the first woman to land this move in competition. She accomplished that at the 2021 US Classic.
