PRAYAGRAJ: Optimistic about the tsunami-like wave of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh with schemes such as PM Awas Yojana, PM Ujjwala and PM Ayushman Bharat, party president Sunil Bharara says the NDA will take over the Lok Sabha in the state. It is expected to win 75 of the 80 Sabah seats.
talk to P.T.I. On the sidelines of the BJP’s Lok Sabha campaign here, Mr. Bharara said that the slogan ‘Abki Baar, 400 Pals’ given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is not just a slogan but a determination.
“There is a tsunami (for the BJP) in Uttar Pradesh and we (NDA) will win 75 out of 80 seats in the state,” he said.
In the 2019 assembly polls, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 62 seats in Uttar Pradesh, while its ally Apna Dal Party (Soneral) won two constituencies.
In 2014, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 71 seats, with the Apna Dal (Sonar) securing victory in two constituencies.
“Through the Prime Minister Awas Yojana, we have provided housing to 8 million people in the state, but imagine how popular the Ujjwala gas, toilet, Ayushman Bharat and Rakhpati didi schemes will be. I can’t even do that,” Bharara said. PTI.
Commenting on the Bharatiya Janata Party’s performance in Allahabad and Phulpur constituencies in the sixth round polls on May 25, the party leader said, “We will break the records of 2014 and 2019.”
Both Allahabad and Phulpur constituencies are part of Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh. The BJP has fielded Neeraj Tripathi from Allahabad and Praveen Patel from Phulpur.
In the 2019 and 2014 polls, Bharatiya Janata Party’s Rita Bahuguna Joshi and Shyama Charan Gupta were elected from Allahabad, respectively. In Phulpur, the BJP’s Keshari Dev Patel and Keshav Prasad Maurya won in the 2019 and 2014 polls respectively.
The Phulpur seat was briefly held by Samajwadi Party’s Nagendra Dev Patel, who won the 2018 by-poll.
Slamming the India Bloc, Bharara argued that the more the opposition tries to tarnish PM Modi’s image, the stronger the Bharatiya Janata Party’s performance in the polls will be.
“The INDI alliance is fighting elections out of arrogance. It is very arrogant and the way they talk about the prime minister and the words their members use against him are not accepted by the people. “The more the chief minister takes office, the more powerful the performance of the ‘lotus’ (the symbol of the BJP) will be,” he said.
“I also want to convey to the INDI alliance that until the Bharatiya Janata Party president (JP Nadda) and Prime Minister Modi are there, we will not allow reservations based on caste or religion. “It is the basis of religion that does not allow any reservations,” he added.
With the opposition party citing rising inflation, unemployment and social unrest as key issues in this election, Bharara said in a media interview that the prime minister himself would not plan for 100 days, but for 125 days. He said that he was making plans for day to day.
“Of this, he allocated 25 days for the future and employment of the youth, making them self-reliant and giving jobs to others instead of looking for jobs. PM Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath Both of them are determined to make the youth of Uttar Pradesh self-reliant,” he added.
