External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar
New Delhi: Minister of Foreign Affairs S Jaishankar In an exclusive conversation with Times Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar on Tuesday, he spoke about the Jammu and Kashmir National Congress leader. Farooq Abdullahof”Pakistan He wears no bangles and carries an atomic bomb that falls on India. ”
Commenting on Abdullah’s remarks, Jaishankar said, “What can I say about this? That family has so much sympathy for Pakistan. They care so much about Pakistan. The whole world knows the strength of India. “I’m working on it,” he said.
Elaborating further, Jaishankar said, “What I am saying is that the entire nation is interested in PoK. Look at the current situation in Pakistan. They are struggling. But… These leaders are going backwards.”
“And it’s not just them, even Mani Shankar Aiyar. But the Congress party will never accept anything. They’ll say it’s his personal opinion. Sam Even to Pitroda, he says, “That’s his personal opinion.” Whenever such a statement faces backlash, they say, “It’s a personal opinion.”
Meanwhile, speaking about important issues regarding relations with India; China, specifically delves into border tensions and trade dependence. He proposed two solutions to address the long-standing “China problem” dating back to the 1960s.
On China’s actions along the border, Jaishankar clarified, “When it comes to China, there are two separate issues and there is also a nexus between them. When it comes to the border issue, our challenge is that China has captured some intelligence dating back to 1962. We are at a disadvantage because of our territory and the positions they have occupied, so everything you read in the newspapers or see in the media that China has built model villages, new bridges, new roads, you have to know that all this is built on top of that. Some are trying to mislead people that all this is being built on new land they have occupied since 2020. It was built in Laojun in 1959, in 1960, in 1961-1962 at Pangong Tso and in 1963 at Shaksgam Valley. We have to understand the situation on the border.”
On trade issues, Jaishankar acknowledged the imbalance, saying, “When it comes to trade, our trade with China is very one-sided and our traders are taking from us what they are taking from China.” It’s not like we’re doing that,” he said.

Regarding Chabahar port, Jaishankar said, “Chabahar port has been in operation for many years and no sanctions were imposed by the United States.” He also said, “Check the record” on the issue of sanctions on Chabahar port. He reiterated his statement.
“The issue of Chabahar port has been going on for a long time and we have a long-standing agreement with them, although the agreement is usually extended every year as part of the port is operated by us. So at the ground level it’s not ‘that’s changed, but it’s a long-term contract so we can make more changes there,’ he added.
While responding to US sanctions warning against Chabahar port, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said, “This port has been operating for years and no sanctions have been imposed on it. It’s clear that they’re benefitting.” The same goes for the region, so we will discuss this with the United States, but thanks to this agreement in principle, nothing substantial has happened. We will definitely invest in this, but apart from this nothing is happening in principle. ”
