Future Kentucky Wildcats football player Gabby Rourke seems to really hate her free time.

Luke, who signed his National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play for the SEC’s Kentucky Wildcats this spring, is coming off a stellar career at Atlantic Coast High School (Jacksonville, Fla.).

She just might be the Jim Thorpe of the 21st century.

In addition to soccer, Rourke also played flag football, tackle football, softball and volleyball, all at the varsity level for the Stingrays.

In tackle football, she was a placekicker for Atlantic Coast and the first woman to be selected to the national team. She showed off her athleticism in flag football, where she recorded 87 catches for 1,046 yards and 17 receiving touchdowns. She was also the team captain.

Somebody call Mark Stoops.

Oh, and she also excels in class.

“It was tough trying to balance AP classes, all the sports, all the practices, all the games,” Rourke told News4Jax in a recent interview.

“I don’t think it’s talked about enough about academics and how it really takes a toll on an athlete’s mental health.”

Rourke will play goalie for Kentucky.

“When I stepped on the field when I was about 8 years old, I knew I wanted to play soccer,” Rourke told News4Jax.

“Nothing has the same passion that I have for football. It’s unmatched.”
