Al Roker got in on the movement this week, joining a trend that’s gone viral on TikTok.

The 69-year-old “Today” host and weather forecaster appeared in a video shared on the show’s Instagram account and stared straight into the camera without moving for a whopping 15 seconds.

The footage begins with an NBC employee turning to the camera and asking, “Hey guys, can you keep an eye on Al for a second? I’ve got to take care of something.”

As she walked away, Roker stood there frozen, staring into the camera lens, before his female colleague returned and took the phone, saying, “OK, thank you!”

The hilarious caption read, “Have you ever had a staring contest with Al Roker? Now you have.”

Al Roker became a TikTok sensation this week after the Today host, 69, shared a video on the show’s Instagram account in which he stares motionless into the camera for 15 seconds.

The popular internet trend began in April when social media users asked the internet to share “a sneak peek” at their boyfriends.

The show became popular as many boyfriends responded amusingly to being watched for long periods of time.

Al, who is from New York City, took to his Instagram platform on Friday to engage with his nearly 1 million followers ahead of the weekend.

The veteran media professional recorded himself power walking on a treadmill, lip-syncing to Todd Rundgren’s 1982 single “Bang The Drum All Day.”

He was sweating and wearing a grey T-shirt and thick tortoiseshell glasses.

“Now, it’s the long weekend. The first unofficial weekend of summer,” he said at the start of the video.

“Start Today Family, let’s get it done,” he encouraged, tagging Today’s health and wellness subset.

“Take a walk in between barbecues and celebrations and remember those who gave their lives so that we could have our freedom,” he advised. “Come on, let’s walk!”

“In between all the barbecues and celebrations, take a walk and remember those who gave their lives so that we could have our freedom,” he urged his followers, pictured with his wife, Deborah Roberts, in Washington, D.C., on April 24.

In the caption, he wrote, “First unofficial weekend of #summer. Here you go @starttoday_ family.”

“As we walk this weekend, let’s remember the sacrifices of our fallen service members and the families they leave behind.”

Roker is the father of three children: 37-year-old daughter Courtney and 25-year-old daughter Layla with ex-wife Alice Bell, and 21-year-old son Nick with current wife Deborah Roberts.

He and Roberts have been married since 1995.
