Indiana Pacers point guard Tyrese Haliburton is “unlikely” to play in Saturday’s Game 3 against the Boston Celtics, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

Haliburton is dealing with a sore left hamstring after leaving the game in the third quarter of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Pacers are currently down 2-0 in the series heading into Game 3 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Haliburton didn’t play too badly, but he was in pain and discomfort early in the game. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle He told reporters After the game, Haliburton said his hamstring was sore at halftime, but he tried to play through it.

“He was working through the whole half-time,” Carlisle said. “He came on and tried his hardest. I haven’t spoken to him so I don’t know how the opposition felt but it wasn’t going well. The trainer decided they needed to bring him back in and work on him so he’s out.”

Carlisle added that Haliburton is also dealing with a chest injury he suffered in a collision with Celtics guard Jaylen Brown.

Haliburton’s hamstring injury dates back to January, when he slipped while driving to the basket against the Celtics and suffered a Grade 1 strain.

Haliburton, who scored 10 points before being ejected in Game 2, was initially listed as questionable for Saturday’s game and now appears set to miss the game.
