North Yarmouth Academy freshman Natasha Godfrey (Scarborough) was selected as one of 120 forwards nationwide born in 2009 to participate in the USA Hockey Women’s National 15 Player Development Camp.
Godfrey is the only Maine girls hockey player born in 2009 to advance to this final camp and was selected from the New England Regional Development Camp.
Godfrey is fresh off a solid freshman season with the Panthers, appearing in 32 New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) games and recording five goals, seven assists and 12 points.
The player development camp will be held July 25-30 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
“This is a great accomplishment for Tasha and she has earned this opportunity through all the hard work she has put into the game,” said NYA women’s hockey coach Matt Poulin. “Not only is Tasha a talented player, but she is an even better student-athlete, teammate and competitor. It has been an honor to work with Tasha and I am so pleased that she has been recognized in this way.”
