MAU/Bahria/Robertsganj/Varanasi (UP): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday alleged that the Indian Union Party is keen to implement a Taliban regime in the state and keep women confined to their homes.
Speaking at an election rally in Ghosi constituency in support of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ally and Suheldev Siya Samaj Party (SBSP) candidate Arvind Rajbhar, Rajbhar alleged that the Indian National Congress and the Samajwadi Party (SP) have a negative mindset.
“They are against Lord Rama and the nation and denying the rights of Dalits and backward communities. Now they have set their sights on OBC reservations,” Adityanath said.
“There is talk of taking away the reserved lands meant for OBCs and allocating them to Muslims. But we will not allow this. These rights belong to the OBC castes and we will not allow it to be taken away,” he said.
The Prime Minister said Bhimrao Ambedkar had asserted that religion cannot be used as a ground for reservation and said the Opposition parties were once again trying to divide the country on the basis of religion but the people understood their intention.
“The INDI coalition has declared that if they come to power they will impose inheritance tax and we must be wary of them. This tax is similar to Aurangzeb’s ‘jizya tax’. They have also declared that they will implement personal laws if they come to power, indicating their desire to implement Taliban and Sharia law in the country,” he said.
“But they do not realise that this country is run on the basis of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Constitution. We will not tolerate revival of the deplorable practice of triple divorce in the country,” he said, adding that the Indian Union party wants to confine women to their homes.
Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India’s national stature and the dignity of each and every Indian has risen globally in the last decade, as a result of which slogans such as “Fir Ek Baar Modi Sarkar” (Let’s salute PM Modi) and “Abki Bar 400 Paar” (Let’s pray for 400 success) are reverberating across the country, Adityanath said.
Today, security in the country has improved, large-scale development projects are underway, the rights of the poor are being protected and free rations are being provided to 800 million people in the country, he said.
“Furthermore, 60 crore people have received Rs 50 lakh health insurance benefit under Ayushman Bharat. As many as 12 crore farmers have received Kisan Samman Nidhi benefit and 12 crore households have had toilets constructed. All this has been achieved thanks to Prime Minister Modi’s visionary leadership,” he said.
Adityanath added that from June 4, every person above 70 years of age will be provided with an annual cover of Rs 5 lakh.
Addressing a rally in Varanasi, the Prime Minister said Kashi, one of the oldest cities in India, was neglected for 70 years but has undergone a transformation under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership in the last decade.
Modi has changed the fortunes of Varanasi, his constituency, and the rest of India, Adityanath said, adding that terror attacks were common in the city when the Congress was in power.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, world class infrastructure is being built in Kashi. The Prime Minister said the construction of the country’s largest ropeway has begun in Kashi and it will connect Cantt station to Baba Vishwanath Dam by the end of the year.
He called on the people of Varanasi to ensure Modi’s record-breaking victory.
Addressing a rally in Ghazipur to campaign for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bahria candidate Neeraj Shekhar, Adityanath said the clearing out of the mafia from Uttar Pradesh had led to huge investments flowing into the state’s Purvanchal region.
The Chief Minister said that the projects being launched in the area would boost employment for many youth of the region.
Targeting the SP, Adityanath said the party had “vowed to kill the poor” but he was determined to rid Uttar Pradesh of the mafia and had succeeded in this objective too.
“Prime Minister Modi is deeply committed to India’s development and traditions. A testament to this is the completion of the Ram Temple at Ayodhya after 500 years,” Adityanath said at Sonbhadra. He said PM Modi has declared that 2025 will be dedicated to the memory of great freedom fighter Birsa Munda, who sacrificed everything for India’s independence and worked tirelessly for the unity of tribal communities.
