A teenager from Scholarship City will soon be on the international stage.
Aidan Lambert, a 17-year-old Dhiman High School student, will be representing Fall River and the country.
Lambert, who trains at Gillette MMA in Tiverton, used his talent, hard work and dedication to win a gold medal in February at the 2024 WAKO USA National Kickboxing Championships in Orlando, Fla. That gold medal and another stellar performance in Nashville earned him an opportunity that some would only dream of.
Following his victory, Lambert earned a ticket to compete for the U.S. Kickboxing Team at the 2024 WAKO Children’s, Cadet and Junior World Championships.

The tournament will be held in Budapest, Hungary from August 23 to September 1, 2024, and will feature athletes from around the world competing in all ring and tatami sports.
His father, Tom, said Aiden will attend Team USA fight camp in Chicago in two weeks before traveling to Hungary.
With Fall River natives and residents making names for themselves in the martial arts world recently, such as Yorgan DeCastro, Tecia (Torres) Pennington, Mitch Raposo and Connor Matthews, Lambert is looking to carve out a name for himself as he carves his own path.
Good luck, Aidan. Win, lose or draw, you’ve already made the city proud.
