The two basketball legends will join NBC Sports to broadcast live coverage of Team USA’s games in Paris this summer.
NBC Sports announced Wednesday that Dwyane Wade and LaChina Robinson will call the U.S. men’s and women’s games, respectively, alongside play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle.
Wade, who served as a studio analyst for TNT from 2019-2022, will be calling games for the first time this summer when the U.S. men’s team takes the court. A Naismith Hall of Famer and three-time NBA champion, Wade was the leading scorer for Team USA’s gold medal-winning Redeem Team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
This will be Wade’s first stint with NBC Olympics, as he is part-owner of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, the WNBA’s Chicago Sky, MLS’s Real Salt Lake and the NWSL’s Utah Royals.
This will be Robinson’s third Olympic appearance as a commentator. The Wake Forest University graduate has extensive experience commentating on a variety of major events for ESPN, including the NCAA Tournament, Women’s Final Four, WNBA Playoffs, WNBA Finals and the WNBA Draft.
During the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, Robinson served as an analyst for the U.S. women’s basketball team.
Eagle, as previously announced, will provide play-by-play commentary for both the men’s and women’s matches.
NBC also announced that NBC Sports Bay Area’s Kerris Burke (Week 1) and NBC Sports’ Zora Stevenson (Week 2) will serve as sideline reporters for France. NBC Sports Bay Area’s Bob Fitzgerald will join Eagle as play-by-play commentator for basketball games.
