Jacobsen was one of 30 players invited to the United States Basketball Association’s under-18 training camp in Colorado Springs, Colo. It didn’t take long for the future Boilermaker to catch attention.
247Sports recruiting analyst Adam Finkelstein had high praise for the 7-foot-3 center.
“Defensively, he put his body in front of the driver and contested plays near the rim, especially when rotating from the weak side of the court,” Finkelstein wrote.
“Offensively, he was up for a dunk at every opportunity, and when he wasn’t able to, he showed the ability to finish quickly around the paint. He attempted a deep catch while playing with his back to the basket, then jumped high for a baby hook. He also made two impressive quick passes from different spots on the court.”
Following his performance in training camp, 247Sports elevated Jacobsen in their recruiting rankings, moving him to the No. 86 overall 2024 recruit rankings and upgrading him from a three-star to a four-star prospect.
