Jennifer Lopez cancels North American summer tour, It happened just weeks before she was due to depart on her first tour in five years.
The pop star made the announcement on Friday in her fan newsletter, “On The JLo.”
“Representatives from Live Nation announced today that Jennifer Lopez’s summer 2024 U.S. tour, THIS IS ME… LIVE, has been canceled because… ‘Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,'” the newsletter read.
The statement was followed by a personal message that read, “A special message to my JLovers from OnTheJLo.”
“I am truly hurt and devastated that I have let you all down. Please know that I would not do this if I did not feel it was absolutely necessary. I promise we will make it up to you and get back together,” Lopez wrote. “I love you all so much. Until next time…”

Lopez’s first show on the tour was scheduled for June 26 in Orlando, Florida.

The announcement of the “This Is Me…” live show comes after seven tour dates were cancelled.
The announcement comes just weeks after several shows on the tour were canceled without explanation. According to Ticketmaster, Lopez’s scheduled shows in Nashville, Tennessee; New Orleans; Raleigh, North Carolina; Atlanta; Houston; Cleveland; and Tampa, Florida have been scrapped.
The message on these pages reads: “Unfortunately, the event organizers have been forced to cancel your event.”
“This is Me…Live” was a 30-date arena tour that was set to feature Lopez’s hits and classic hits from her discography, including “On the Floor,” “Let’s Get Loud” and “Jenny from the Block.” Her most recent tour, the “It’s My Party” tour, was released in 2019 and saw her sell out venues across the country.
The tour was in promotion of her new album, “This is Me … Now,” which was released in February and is accompanied by the Amazon Prime musical film, “This is Me … Now: A Love Story.”
Earlier this year, Lopez told USA Today that “This is Me…Now” might be her final song, saying, “It was meant to be the essence of what I was looking for and what I wanted to say about love.”
“I’ve been on this quest for a long time. Since the first time people met me, since my first record came out, and even before that, since my first movie, I’ve been on this journey trying to figure this out for myself. This (album) kind of closes the loop,” she said. “This album captures this moment in time to really say what I want to say about love, which is that true love does exist and some love lasts forever. Please don’t give up on that, because love is the only thing that matters in life.”

Separate outings fueled marriage speculation with Ben Affleck

Lopez’s announcement comes amid growing speculation about her nearly two-year marriage to Ben Affleck.
After various media reports suggested that Lopez and Affleck may no longer be living together, Hollywood’s A-list couple has come under increased scrutiny, with media outlets investigating their whereabouts and whether they both still have their rings on their faces.
On May 16, Lopez and Affleck were photographed together for the first time in over a month, and each was seen wearing a wedding ring.
The couple has been engaged twice, once in 2002 and once in 2021. The couple married in a late-night ceremony in Las Vegas on July 16, 2022, with Lopez calling it “the best wedding we could have ever imagined.”
This is Affleck’s second marriage and Lopez’s fourth.
