In our Virginia Tech football recruiting breakdown series, we’ll take a deep dive into the offensive line and head to the front line. Check out the other recruiting breakdowns in the links below:

After a small offensive line class last cycle, Virginia Tech looks poised to make a big class this cycle and is in good position with some targets. Virginia isn’t necessarily known for having a wealth of offensive line talent, but they’ve been pretty solid this cycle and next cycle should see the strongest in-state OL class we’ve seen in a long time.

Now let’s take a closer look at the Hokies’ offensive line recruiting situation.

2025:

Let’s start with 2025. The Hokies have already acquired one player and are looking to acquire several more offensive linemen.

The Hokies built their 2025 offensive line class earlier this year, securing the commitment of three-star OT Carter Stallard from Christiansburg, Virginia in late January. The 6-foot-7 local star was one of the Hokies’ top offensive tackle targets in the months leading up to the signing, and Ron Crook did an excellent job of getting him signed quickly while more offers came in from Louisville, West Virginia, Maryland, Duke, Pittsburgh, Virginia and more.

When the Hokies have a local talent like Stallard, they have to get a deal done and get that commitment, but Tech did and got his commitment, and acquiring him as the cornerstone of their 2025 offensive line was a strong way to start this cycle off on the front foot.

He is scheduled to return to campus next weekend for an official visit and will be one of at least three offensive linemen taking the visit.
