HOLLISTER, Calif. (KION-TV) — Hollister Police have arrested two people for burglary into commercial establishments just two days apart.

Police said the investigation began on May 29 after a report of a theft in the 1100 block of East Park Street.

Investigators said two suspects entered the storeroom area of the store and stole several items.

On Friday, officers responded to the same store where the same suspect entered the storeroom and stole property estimated to be worth $1,000.

Police reviewed security camera footage from the scene and identified the suspects involved in the robbery as 44-year-old Osvaldo Vergara and 57-year-old Katherine Branch.

Investigators arrested Vergara, 44, in the 800 block of East Street and Branch in a riverbed in San Benito County.

Vergara and Branch were booked into the San Benito County Jail on multiple counts of theft and grand theft.
