“The NDA is synonymous with good governance,” said PM Modi, who was elected leader of the coalition.
After all allies unanimously passed a resolution in support of BJP-led National Democratic Alliance leader Narendra Modi, the prime minister said the NDA government would provide good governance and thanked the people for giving him the opportunity to serve them again.
Modi was today formally elected as the leader of the BJP, leader of the NDA parliamentary party and leader of the Indian Parliament. Leaders of the NDA alliance presented floral garlands to Narendra Modi.
He is recognised as the leader of the NDA Parliamentary Party by his alliance partners.
“The NDA government has brought good governance to the country and in a sense, just saying NDA has become synonymous with good governance. Welfare of the poor and good governance are of utmost importance to all of us,” the Prime Minister said at a rally of the alliance’s newly elected legislators in Parliament on Friday.
He also termed the NDA as the most successful alliance and vowed to continue efforts towards building consensus.
“I assure the people that with the majority given to us to run the government, we will work towards consensus and leave no stone unturned to take the country forward. The NDA has been functioning for almost three decades, which is no mean feat. I would say it is the most successful alliance,” the Prime Minister said.
