Governments led by the BJP and its ally the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will take charge of the governments of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh respectively after swearing-in ceremonies are held in both states today.

TDP leader N Chandrababu Naidu today took oath as Andhra Chief Minister for the fourth time following the party’s landslide victory in the state assembly elections held alongside the general elections.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP leader and Health Minister JP Nadda, attended a grand ceremony on the outskirts of Vijayawada. The Prime Minister congratulated Naidu with a hug after he was sworn in.
