Several Pakistani-made items were recovered from the possession of two terrorists who were slain in a raid on a village in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Tuesday.
Local authorities said three magazines containing 30 rounds of ammunition were found in the possession of the terrorists, along with three live grenades.

They were carrying one M4 carbine and one AK-47 rifle, Kathua police said.
A gunfight broke out between security forces and terrorists in Kathua’s Hira Nagar area on Tuesday evening.

“Two terrorists have been neutralised and search operations are on in the area,” Commissioner of Police Jam Anand Jain told reporters on Wednesday.
“A new infiltrator group has emerged in the area and there are chances that many more terrorists may be hiding out. Search operations are still on and we have cordoned off the area. Details of the incident will be given later,” he added, reported PTI.
The officer said it was a joint operation by Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF personnel.
One of the terrorists was killed early on Wednesday while trying to throw a grenade, while the other remained in hiding. At 3 am, the terrorist tried to breach the police cordon and opened fire indiscriminately on security forces.
One CRPF personnel was killed in the firing.
One civilian was also injured during the operation.
This was the third terror attack in Jammu region since Sunday.
Nine people were killed in the attack in the Federally Administered Territory’s Reasi district.
