The drama is heating up on Love Island USA Season 6, and it’s only the first week.
The June 11 premiere introduced viewers to new host Ariana Madix, the renovated villa, and the 10 original cast members who hope to find love this summer.
For its latest season, the Peacock series deviated from tradition, straying from the typical bikini-clad introductions during the day and deciding to meet all the islanders for the first time in formal attire at night.
After the ladies strutted into the Fiji villa and exchanged conversation with Maddix, the men all arrived at the same time and shared a bit about themselves. Then, in another unexpected moment, Maddix revealed that they’ll be playing an icebreaker role, with lots of kissing before the Islanders couple up.
By the end of the game, sparks had flown between some of the contestants and it seemed like they had all ended up in couples, but the islanders were surprised again at the end of the episode to learn that a “bombshell” – a new face on the show – would be introduced.
Since then, two more beautiful women have moved into the villa, creating multiple love triangles in just a few episodes.
All through the summer, new contestants are entering the villa with the hope of forming lasting relationships, but the constant influx of new Islanders means that many will be kicked off the island over the next six weeks.
New episodes will premiere every Thursday to Tuesday at 6pm PST/9pm ET. “Love Island UK” star Maura Higgins will also host the “Love Island Aftersun” series on Saturdays, the show recently announced on X.
