Justin Bieber has quit his business manager, Lou Taylor, and hired Johnny Depp’s financial manager, People magazine has confirmed.
“They split up a few weeks ago in May,” a source says of Bieber and Taylor. “It was a smooth transition for both of them. They just weren’t compatible anymore.”
Bieber, 30, combined his companies Bieber Time Touring LLC, Justin Bieber Brands LLC and Bieber Time Merchandise with Taylor’s company Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group in 2022.
Sources say the star’s longtime manager, Scooter Braun, still manages the musician.[Bieber’s] “The contract is still in force and is not likely to expire for a long time,” they said.
Representatives for Bieber and Braun did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Bieber currently employs Depp’s business manager, Edward White, who founded Edward White Ltd. in 1976.
The California-based firm, which recently merged with Ade Bailey, provides tax and consulting services and counts a Hollywood luminary on its client list, including Jack Nicholson, Allen Paulson and the estates of Lena Horne and Vin Scully.
“[Taylor] “She has been working with Edward White to help with their transition,” a source told People magazine.
White has worked with Depp, 61, since 2016. In 2022, she testified in a defamation lawsuit filed by Depp against his ex-wife, Amber Heard.
White helped the actor financially in 2017 ahead of the Depp v Heard trial and also assisted him in a lawsuit against his management group over mishandling of his finances.

Bieber’s latest move comes after he sold his 291-song catalog to Hipgnosis Songs Capital in 2023. Billboard The transaction price was estimated at just over $200 million.
The move means he will sell the rights to all songs he has released or has an interest in through the end of 2021, which includes his six studio albums. My World 2.0, Under the mistletoe, believe, the purpose, change point and justice — Other projects my world and journalthe hit singles “Baby,” “Boyfriend,” “What Do You Mean?,” “Sorry,” “Love Yourself,” “Yummy,” “Holy,” and “Peaches.”
Hipgnosis currently owns 100% of the profits from Bieber’s writing, production and recording credits, as well as “neighboring rights,” or revenues from the public playing of the song in stores, restaurants and other places.
However, his recording masters will remain the property of Universal Music Group in perpetuity.
