The University of Wisconsin football program extended an offer to three-star defensive lineman King Riggins, class of 2026, on Sunday.
Riggins is the third 2026 defensive lineman to receive an offer from the Badgers since late May, joining four-star DL Gabriel Hill and four-star EDGE McHale Blade. Wisconsin has also offered running back Jaeden Hill, wide receiver Madden Williams and athletic forward Jacob Weatherspoon in the past two days.
The 6-foot-4, 265-pound three-star recruit is committed to Brother Rice High School in Illinois. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 40 defensive lineman and No. 10 recruit out of Illinois in the Class of 2026.
Hill has received offers from 11 schools so far, including Eastern Michigan University, Western Michigan University, Kansas State University, Iowa State University, Miami University and the University of Wisconsin.
247Sports has yet to release its crystal ball predictions, but On3’s recruiting projection machine has Kansas State as a big favorite at this stage.
While UW appears to have placed its focus on the 2026 enrollment class, Rivals currently ranks Wisconsin’s 2025 enrollment class as No. 6 in the country. There are 19 committed players in that group, with eight having committed since official visits began in June.
Class of 2025 DL freshmen Drayden Pavey, Wilnarson Telemaak and Kyler Garcia are some of Wisconsin’s key defensive priorities during a month packed with official visits from some of the most talented freshmen in the country.
Including Riggins, the Badgers have offered but unsigned 11 defensive linemen for 2026. Wisconsin’s defensive line roster this fall includes James Thompson Jr., Kurt Neal, Ben Barten, Elijah Hills (transfer) and Brandon Lane, who agreed to transfer from Louisville.
