T20 World Cup: How West Indies’ world-class spin trio orchestrated a massive win against the USA
West Indies’ three-pronged spin attack is different to the usual three-pronged T20 attack.
Usually, when so many spinners are fielded in an XI, one of them is likely to be a wrist spinner, but the Windies have a complementary trio in Akeel Hosin, Gudakesh Moti and Roston Chase. A loss would have knocked the West Indies out of the tournament, but a shaking Kensington Oval saw them secure a crucial win that significantly boosted the West Indies’ net run rate and put their fate in their own hands.
