What is the Finger Spin Challenge?
The Finger Spin Challenge sounds easy, but it’s nearly impossible. How do you do it? You have to rotate the index finger (pointer) of one hand forward or backward, while the fingers of the other hand move in the opposite direction. It seems easy, but in reality it’s not.
Something in our brains just doesn’t let us do this well! Only a select few can do this, most fail. Now people are filming themselves trying and sharing it on social media like TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter). Apparently it’s the same reason we can’t tap ourselves on the head and rub our tummy in a certain direction at the same time. Either our brains aren’t wired to do it, or there’s some other reason.

There was the Partner Paint Challenge and now it’s the Finger Spin Challenge. Who knows what hilarious challenge the internet will come up with next? The third video below is a how-to video that will show you how to do this unique Finger Spin Challenge. Check out the video below for an example.
Court Freeman was born and raised in Metro Detroit. Thirteen years after graduating, he was named Clarkston High School’s Class of 2009 clown. This was totally normal. This is all thanks to his time spent as an intern at Comedy Central and as a social media correspondent for The Colbert Report. Court has performed comedy across the country, both stand-up and sit-down. When he’s not trying to make you laugh on-air or online, he’s probably at home, binging on his favorite shows like Seinfeld, South Park, and The Office. He’s also totally comfortable writing about himself in the third person. Court enjoys writing about comedy, food, sports, and entertainment — basically anything.
