Polish President Duda arrived in Beijing on June 22 for an official visit, his spokesman announced.
During his visit to China, President Duda said he hopes to discuss two important issues: a trade agreement between Poland and China and the security situation in Europe.
“The political factor will be very important. There is war in Ukraine, there is a hybrid attack by Belarus on the Polish border. For three years the Belarusian authorities have been imposing migration on us, forcing us to cross the border illegally,” Duda said ahead of the June 22 visit.
During his visit to China, President Duda will meet with President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Qiang, as well as attend the World Economic Forum in Dalian and the Poland-China Economic Forum in Shanghai, presidential spokesman said.
Russia has deepened its ties with China through the all-out war in Ukraine, which has provided a vital economic lifeline for Russia even under international sanctions and is also a major supplier of dual-use materials for Russia’s defense industry.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin met with President Xi Jinping in China in May and sought to assure Beijing of friendship and support amid economic pressure from the West amid Russia’s ongoing war against Ukraine.

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said China was providing help “to enable Russia to maintain its defense industrial base, maintain its military, and continue to wage war.”
