Georgia Tech linebacker prospect Chase Taylor made his college decision today but will not be playing with Brent Key at Georgia Tech. Taylor has opted to attend Michigan and will be heading to the Big Ten to continue his collegiate career.

The 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker from Stockbridge, Georgia chose the Wolverines over USC and Georgia Tech.

Things were trending this way for Taylor’s recruiting. He began collecting 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions from several recruiting experts on his chances at Michigan. Taylor took official visits to Michigan, Georgia Tech, South Carolina and USC.
Taylor is a three-star linebacker prospect ranked as the No. 580 player in the country, No. 61 player in the nation and No. 63 player in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite. He plays for Stockbridge High School in Georgia. Other college offers he has received include Appalachian State, Boston College, Clemson, Cincinnati, Georgia Southern, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, NC State, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Georgia Tech is on a player-hunting spree right now, even making a late-night trade earlier this week to send defensive tackle Kamron Cullins from SMU to Georgia Tech. The Yellow Jackets’ 2025 class is currently ranked 14th by 247Sports and could climb outside the top 10 if they continue to land some of their top targets.
