Big news for Cincinnati entrepreneurs! Ava DuVernay will be the keynote speaker for this year’s Black Tech Week! Organizers announced on Wednesday. “We are thrilled to have Ava DuVernay as our keynote speaker for Black Tech Week 2024,” said Candace Matthews, founder and CEO of Lightship Foundation, in a statement. “Ava’s dedication to creating opportunities and platforms for people of color is deeply aligned with our efforts to support diverse founders. Her insights and experiences will surely inspire attendees to continue to push boundaries and drive change.” DuVernay is an Academy Award-nominated film director known for the acclaimed Netflix series “When They See Us” and the film adaptation of “A Wrinkle in Time.” Black Tech Week has been held in Cincinnati for the past three years. Big news for Cincinnati entrepreneurs!

Ava Duvernay will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Black Tech Week.

Organizers made the announcement on Wednesday.

DuVernay is an Academy Award-nominated filmmaker known for the acclaimed Netflix series “When They See Us” and the film adaptation of “Through the Looking Glass.”

Black Tech Week has been held in Cincinnati for the past three years.

The event will take place from July 16th to 19th.
