With the first round of the 2024 NBA Draft over and the hype around French prospect Zachary Lisacher being selected first overall by the Atlanta Hawks, attention now turns to the second round, where prospects are usually developed. The second round of the NBA Draft will be held on a dedicated date, and teams will have four minutes per round to make their selections, up from two minutes in previous years.
Yahoo Sports’ Kristen Peek profiles some of the top prospects remaining in the second round, including freshman Bronny James from USC. The son of NBA legend LeBron James averaged 4.8 points at USC after suffering cardiac arrest in the summer of 2023 and is sure to turn heads if (or if) he is drafted.

Detroit and Minnesota complete trade before second round
The first trade of the second day of the NBA Draft has been made. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Minnesota Timberwolves are sending guard Wendell Moore Jr. and the 37th pick to the Detroit Pistons. In exchange, Detroit will give the Timberwolves the 53rd pick.

It’s shocking that Collier fell so far in the draft, considering he entered last season as the No. 1 high school player. The biggest flaws in his game are his outside jump shot and the number of turnovers he committed in his lone year at USC. He excels in the open court and has great body control around the rim. Given the spacing and pace of the NBA game, he could be a bargain for the Jazz.
