SINGAPORE, June 28, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — SAI.TECH Global Corporation (“SAI.TECH” or “SAI” or the “Company”) (NASDAQ: SAI, SAITW) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al-Farabi Kazakh National University of the Republic of Kazakhstan (the “University”). The collaboration aims to enhance educational and scientific research efforts in the region.

The MoU signifies collaboration between SAI.TECH and the University across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. The MoU will include faculty and administrative staff exchanges, educational training programs for educators, opportunities for student exchanges at undergraduate and graduate levels, and facilitating research internships and professional training.

At the heart of this partnership is the establishment of joint educational programs and curricula, including a double diploma initiative, aimed at enhancing academic exchange and facilitating collaboration between the two institutions, including joint research projects, participation in state and international grants, and the publication of scientific materials in the partner institutions’ periodicals.

Leveraging its AI computing technology and expertise in sustainable computing with distributed energy solutions, this collaboration marks a key milestone in SAI.TECH’s expansion into Kazakhstan. SAI.TECH is committed to supporting the region’s development in the computing sector and beyond.

Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, also known as KazNU or KazGU, is a national research university in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Named after philosopher and scholar Al-Farabi, it is one of the largest universities in the country. KazNU is the oldest classical university in Kazakhstan. It was founded on November 13, 1933 by the resolution of the Kazakh Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. In 2023, KazNU was ranked 150th in the world rankings.
