Taco Bell is offering a new combo menu aimed at making fast food more affordable at a time when inflation remains a top priority for consumers.
Starting Thursday, the $7 Luxe Cravings Box will be available on Taco Bell’s menu for a limited time. The combo comes with a Chalupa Supreme, a beef five-layer burrito, a double-stack taco, chips, nacho cheese sauce and a medium drink. The restaurant chain says the combo is about 55% cheaper than buying each menu item individually.
Many major fast-food chains have tried to address consumer concerns about price. Last week, McDonald’s began selling a limited-time meal deal for $5 that includes a McDouble or McChicken sandwich, four Chicken McNuggets, small fries and a small soft drink.

Last month, Wendy’s began offering a $3 breakfast meal that includes a breakfast sandwich on an English muffin and seasoned fries, while Burger King introduced its $5 Make Your Own Meal, which includes three sandwiches along with chicken nuggets, fries and a drink.

This isn’t the first time Taco Bell has tried to make its menu more affordable as consumers look for cheaper dining options: Its $5 Taco Discovery Box (a Crunchy Taco, a Doritos Locos Taco, a Cantina Chicken Crispy Taco and a medium drink) was available from April through June 4. In January, Taco Bell launched its new Cravings Value Menu, offering 10 items for under $3.
Since then, prices on some menu items have increased slightly, but there are still 10 menu items priced at under $3, Taylor Montgomery, chief marketing officer for Taco Bell North America, said in a statement to USA Today. “Our Cravings Value Menu is one of the best value menus in the industry because we believe consumers shouldn’t have to choose between affordability and variety,” he said.
The new $7 Luxe Cravings Box “delivers on our value promise by offering consumers the items they crave most at an affordable price, satisfying their cravings with full-size, fan-favorite menu items,” Montgomery said.
