June 30, 2024

The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee (NC) has announced that the Pakistan women’s futsal team will participate in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup 2025. This is the first time that the women’s team will participate in the premier futsal tournament under the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Qualifying rounds are due to begin in early 2025, with the last 12 scheduled to take place in May 2025.

The PFF announced in a press release that it has successfully organised five Futsal National Cup (FNC) tournaments in major cities across Pakistan in preparation for the AFC Women’s Futsal Asian Cup 2025.

MRF won the Women’s Futsal National Cup title in Lahore. In Quetta, Hazara retained their Women’s Futsal National Cup crown. Smakh won the Women’s Futsal National Cup in Islamabad while Karachi City team won the Women’s Futsal National Cup in Karachi. These tournaments were part of PFF’s efforts to develop women’s futsal in Pakistan.

Chairman Pakistan Football Federation Normalisation Committee Haroon Malik expressed his views by saying, “We are pleased to announce that the PFF NC has confirmed the participation of the women’s futsal team in the AFC Women’s Futsal Asia Cup 2025. This participation underlines PFF’s commitment to developing women’s futsal in Pakistan and providing players an opportunity to compete at an international level.”
